Carpenters Union In New Jersey

Carpenters union in New Jersey has helped me achieve the American dream. Here is detailed information on the carpentry union in New Jersey

New Jersey is an awesome state to work in, at especially when the economy is fair. When times are fair or doing pretty good the carpenters union in New Jersey are working. The carpentry union covers all avenues of carpentry they do, commercial buildings, furniture, scaffolding, stores, schools, highways, hospitals, cabinets and much more.

The history behind the carpenters union in New Jersey and how they were formed in New Jersey is incredible. I am reminded of a story that I would like to share with you it is entitled

The Carpenter In 1915

While World War 1 was starting there was plenty of anti labor feelings at especially in Roosevelt, as Carteret was formerly known. Carpenters protested the use of "private armies of gunmen in times of labor troubles" One incident was reported at the Williams and Clarks lumber mill. Two men were killed and forty others injured when private detectives fired on a crowd. The crowd was preventing strikebreakers’ form getting of a train in New York. The detectives fired into the crowd and ran into the mill and locked themselves in.

Despite the dramatic description it is clear that organized labor had powerful enemies in central New Jersey. The Carpenter urged the New Jersey Carpenters Union to seek legislation to prevent further incidents of this kind.

Fast Forward To 2010

Fast-forward to 2010 Carpenters Union stands strong with many members across the United States and Canada. They are known for contributing help in Katrina, Haiti, and getting Obama elected and much more. Each local contributes in various ways to better their community and the brotherhood.

Unions are well organized and have the skills to complete any construction job successfully. When a corporation or an investor hires union carpenters they are supporting their country. Most if not all union carpenters are U.S citizens.

I am a member of Local 155 Plainfield New Jersey. This Local covers central New Jersey. I have picketed jobs, participated in political action teams, done volunteer work and much more. I enjoy it because I know I am helping pave the way for more union carpentry work. At this current time work is very slow in my ballpark, but I keep the faith and hope that things will get better soon. Between this Internet business, my carpentry business, and my faith in God I continue to walk in the light.
